French Proverbs and Sayings for Chandeleur

There are all kinds of French proverbs and sayings for Chandeleur; here are just a few. Note the similarities to the Groundhog Day predictions made in the US and Canada:

Another way to describe la chandeleur is as crêpe-flipping day!  Reserve quickly to join us in a member’s home to celebrate la chandeleur on Sunday, February 2, 2020 from 3:30pm – 5:30pm to flip crêpes and sip cider with us.  We especially wish to thank the family of Jean-Baptiste Saint Amon of Saint Amon Baking Co., who will demonstrate this delicious, amusing tradition.
