Zoom: The French Literary Prizes (in French)

French Literary Prizes

Every fall in France, the authors of the best novels are awarded official literary prizes.

On Friday, October 28 at 11am CT, join Hélène Crié-Wiesner for a talk about the exclusively-French event that is “la rentrée littéraire” (the literary season).

Learn about French Literary Prizes, the most prestigious prizes, where they come from, and how they are awarded. This is also a great opportunity to refine your French listening skills, as the lecture will be in French (en français).

Literary prizes hold great value for French literary works, including novels, stories, and poems. Receiving a literary prize is an honor for both authors and their publishers. Hélène Crié-Wiesner will be discussing all this and more on the Zoom call. She is a journalist, blogger, and author who offers a French perspective on American life and current events.
