If you always wanted to read Proust, but found the sheer volume of it too daunting, or if you have already read the book, but have been left with many questions, this is an opportunity that you do not want to miss.
The Proust literary group has once again restarted its monthly program of reading Proust’s seven-volume book, In Search of Lost Time (À la recherche du temps perdu).
You can view the reading selection and meeting dates at proustsociety.org. The meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month, from 4 to 5 pm CT on Zoom. They will begin Volume II: Within a Budding Grove on June 8, 2023.
The event is organized by the Alliance Française of Greenwich, Byram Shubert Library, and The Proust Society of Greenwich. The discussions are conducted in English, but participants can read the book in their preferred language. New members can join at any time.
