Postponed: French Organist to perform in Tulsa

AFTulsa Editor’s update as of March 20, 2020:  French Organist to perform in Tulsa at a later date to be announced, Boston Avenue Methodist Church, 1301 South Boston, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74119.

A fabulous French organist, Thomas Ospital, will be playing at Boston Avenue (date postponed due to Covid-19 pandemic heightened level of national state of emergency).

The organ at Boston Avenue has just undergone a major renovation, so he is coming to perform a dedicatory recital. It is free and open to the public and should be a dazzling concert.

Titulaire of the grand organ at St Eustache Church in Paris, and newly-appointed Organist in Residence at Maison de la Radio (Radio France Concert Hall), Thomas Ospital is a young artist who has quickly earned a place amongst the world’s finest concert organists. He has won prizes at several international competitions including the Chartres Competition, the Xavier Darasse Competition, and the Saragossa and Angers competitions. Dedicated to the art of improvisation in all of its forms, he typically includes improvisations in his concerts and frequently accompanies silent films as well.
