About La Fête des Rois

This cherished tradition marks the Feast of the Epiphany, observed on January 6, which commemorates the visit of the Three Wise Men to the baby Jesus. In France, this holiday is synonymous with the galette des rois—a golden, flaky pastry enjoyed with family and friends.

The galette des rois, or “king’s cake,” is much more than a dessert. Hidden inside the cake is a small charm, known as a fève. The lucky person who finds the fève in their slice is crowned king or queen for the day and wears a golden paper crown that comes with the pastry. It’s a playful and delicious way to ring in the New Year while celebrating community and togetherness!

Come be part of this French tradition, experience the magic of the galette, and maybe even wear the crown yourself!
