Welcome 2022

Even with all the ups and downs of 2021, we are looking forward to the New Year and to what it will bring.

And a big THANK YOU for everyone who mingled with AF de Tulsa in 2021! Beaujolais Nouveau evening, Bastille Day dinner, Conversation groups, and Nan’s Classes!

And a big THANK YOU to all our members and your continuing support and involvement in the activities that we feel are safe for attendees.

We hope to play pétanque together soon, have a picnic, as long as its feasible. Below are some events you might want to check-out.

L’Alliance Française de Tulsa is meeting  in-person for our conversation group.  We embraced  zoom meetings from 5/23/2020 – 6/5/2021 and we met  many attendees from all over the world.  But seeing each other in person, outside on Neff Brewery’s dock is helpful for practicing our French language skills.  Here is the link to our meetup group for all the dates of conversations.

L’Alliance Française’s dedicated teacher, Nan Melton, is teaching French for Travelers on Thursdays, and has a Conversation class on Wednesdays.  She continues on zoom, gaining all the benefits the virtual method can offer. Here is the link to class information.

Le Cercle de Lecture, started in Fall 2019, is still going strong.  The group has read and discussed 10 books, and our upcoming book choice is Maria Chapdelaine by Louis Hémon.  We will be meeting at Mother Road Market on Tuesday 1/25/2022 at 7pm. Here is the link to the book, and the link to the newly released movie from the Toronto International Film Festival.

It’s almost time for My French Film Festival to kickoff.  From 1/14/2022 through 2/14/2022, films are available on-line for viewing.  Here is the link for MFFF.

Indulge your love of French from the comfort of your home by attending an online event! Talks on a variety of intriguing subjects are available from the Federation of Alliances Françaises USA as well as AF chapters from across the United States. Many events are free for AF members!  Here is the link for the list of AFUSA events.

And if you’re inclined to take advantage of any of the on-line events, please align yourself with l’Alliance Française de Tulsa by becoming a member. Here is the link to join.

Best Wishes for all in 2022.         Bons vœux pour 2022!
