Hotel Reservations Now Available
The 2019 Fédération des Alliances Françaises USA Annual Meeting & Convention will be held October 24-26, 2019 at the Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles. Directors, administrators, board members and engaged members of Fédération chapters are welcome to attend (last year there were 120 participants). The convention will kick off with a Welcome Reception on Thursday evening at the Sofitel, followed by two days of workshops and panel discussions that will facilitate networking and the exchange of best practices.

The Sofitel is offering a special rate of $215/night for your choice of room with one king bed or two double beds (ideal for sharing). Please know that hotel pricing in LA is generally expensive; the group rate we have arranged at the Sofitel is an excellent price for the area.
PLEASE NOTE :
- Most of you will be flying into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).The Hotel is located about 10 miles from the airport. According to the hotel, the best way to get to there is by taxi or Uber. Prices usually start at about $40.
- Make your airline reservations early to get the best rates. Consider using the Federation’s group code for discounts on United Airlines: If booking through a travel professional or United Meetings at 800-426-1122, please give them the following information: Z code:ZGMR, Agreement code: 453392; to book travel online, enter your Z Code and Agreement Code (ZGMR453392) in the Offer Code box when searching for flights; outside of the United States, please call your local United Airlines Reservation Office. - If you would like to arrive at the hotel a few days early or extend your stay a few days past the end of the convention, the group rate will be extended to you, depending on availability of rooms.
- While the room rate is higher than in years past, we have asked the hotel to add extra double rooms so that more participants will be able to share. In addition, two of our three social events will be free this year (the Prix Charbonnier and the Closing Reception), thanks to the support of the AF de Los Angeles and additional sponsors.
